Leadership Opportunities

Do you know a student who is looking for leadership opportunities? Leading a BC Green Games project can help students develop essential skills such as:

  • Executive functioning (planning, organization, execution and completion of projects, decision making, self-monitoring)
  • Social skills (cooperation with others, communication, resolution skills)
  • Technological skills (video or photo editing, webpage design)

As well as empowering them to be environmental stewards in their community.

Check out some examples in the Galleries.

Science World's On The Road

BC Green Games has teamed up with Science World's On the Roadprogram to offer another great science opportunity for schools outside the Lower Mainland!

Every school outside the Lower Mainland who submits a project will be entered in a draw to have the On The Road team come visit their school and deliver a high-energy, curriculum-linked presentation that will provide an unforgettable science experience for your students.

Call2Recycle is North America’s first and largest battery stewardship program. As a non-profit organization, they collect and recycle batteries at no cost for municipalities, businesses and consumers. Call2Recycle has diverted more than 39 million kilograms of batteries and cellphones from the solid waste stream and established over 34,000 collection sites throughout Canada and the US. It is the first program of its kind to receive the Responsible Recycling Practices Standard (R2) certification.

Love our planet? So do we. At ReGeneration, we believe reducing waste is the key to our future. That's why we recycle environmentally harmful products like lightbulbs, smoke alarms, and paint at free drop-off locations across the country.
