Cape Town is running out of water and low dam levels in the emerald-green highlands of Lesotho are raising alarm bells in South Africa’s industrial heartland around Johannesburg. Cape town is one of the worst countries because there is very few water sources in the country. Authorities are warning that as soon as July 9th, which means that they are going to be out of water, which is also called Day Zero. Cape Town will turn off the taps, leaving some 4 million people without basic access to water. Cape town is trying to find new water source so they don’t need to worry about water for a long time, which is great.About 100,000 liters per day for the whole city 50 liters for one person which makes me want to donate lots of water to them so they can have more water so they can survive longer but it won’t last for long. Soon the people are going to turn off the water supplies for the whole city and the bad thing is there is 4m people there. Water shuts off when dam levels reach 13.5%. They reuse water bottles and other things to fill water with. Day Zero is in mid april.
